Our laboratory of standard samples has a many years’ experience in making sintered, powder and metal-ceramic standard samples (SS) of noble metals and alloys for spectral, X-ray spectral and chemical analysis.
Application of advanced science-intensity production techniques provides a highly homogeneous material of SS with its chemical composition and properties close to the analyzable objects.
The company has created the largest in Russia bank of standard samples of noble metals and alloys, including more than 250 sets of different samples. To determine the SS chemical composition we use atomic absorption, atomic emission, mass-spectral, X-ray spectral, chemical and atomic emission analysis with inductively coupled plasma.
The inter-laboratory certification of samples ranged as State Standard Samples (SSS) and International Standard Samples (ISS) is performed with participation of the leading enterprises in precious metals industry and scientific-research institutes of Russia.
Since 1991 the company has brought to a commercial level the output and certification of test needles, which are used as standard alloys in assaying jewelry and precious metal scrap by a touchstone method. The accuracy of analysis of the test needle chemical composition is guaranteed by the analytical laboratory, which is qualified for technical competency and independence.
The needle production range includes more than 300 alloys of the following compositions:
· gold of 100-1000 standard with admixtures of silver, palladium, platinum, copper, nickel, zinc, and cadmium;
· silver of 100-1000 standard with admixtures of copper, nickel, palladium, platinum, and silicon;
· palladium of 475-850 standard with admixtures of copper, nickel, and silver;
· platinum of 700 - 999 standard with admixtures of palladium, iridium, rhodium, and copper.
The sets of test needles are supplied to assay inspections, purchasing and pawn shops, jewelry makers, etc.
